The men indoctrinated in Fight Club were not enlightened at all. They were still drones, following whatever guidelines were set before them. They were not buying from corporations, agreed, but were still buying into the next ideology that blatantly stated what it wanted from them. From faceless consumers to faceless philosophers.

The real point to be driven home was: We are what we make ourselves. What we allow ourselves to partake in. We decide what we are. And if we have the willpower, we don't have to bend for anyone, even ourselves.

In the twisted realm of Fight Club, the so-called enlightenment was nothing but a shift from one set of rules to another. The rebellion against consumerism turned into blind allegiance to a new doctrine. The essence of true liberation lies not in merely exchanging one master for another but in realizing that we have the power to break free from the chains of ideological conformity altogether.

Our identities are not predetermined; they are shaped by the choices we make. The call is not to follow a prescribed path but to forge our destinies. In a world that constantly tempts us to conform, true enlightenment comes from within, from the choices we make, and the ideologies we choose to embrace or reject.

So, let us not be swayed by the allure of new ideologies. Instead, let us embrace the power within ourselves to chart our course, questioning, choosing, and deciding who we are. It's not about fighting against external forces; it's about realizing the strength within to determine our narrative.
